I gave up on Playboy close to 20 years ago, when they switched to
plastic models vs. 'girls next door'. I miss the cartoons, and the
occasional real author they had, but that is about it. I've long since
aged out of their target demographic anyway. Anyway, sometime since
then, all the local stores quit carrying it, probably due to pressure
from the plethora of local bible-thumper churches. Last couple of years,
I don't even see it in other towns. I had seen in the business sections
that their circulation was WAY down, so I thought maybe they went under.
(What with the internet making their main selling point close to moot, etc.)
