It happens to me all the time in the grocery store. Geez, two grocery store
posts in one day--you'd think I actually went there often, but you'd be way
wrong :-D

Oh Lord no, I didn't *go* to two grocery stores today--I just had two
*posts* about grocery store incidents LOL.

Oh sure, Jamie - and you got me to admit that I really *did* go to 2
myself.
*Fille, feeling the fool - but a happy fool* :-)

Just about any shopper these days. Macy's, Costco, heck even the auto
store.

Please don't remind me, my wife is writing her "last minute, I forgot"
list for me at this very second. Oh well, as long as I have time to
pick up our traditional Christmas Eve pizza and can still have a beer
with the guy who owns the store and makes it special for us, I'll plough
through.

I'll give Wal-Mart props, and major ones too, for their greeters. We
don't have a lot of them around DC but the ones I've been in, the
greeters are either older folks (who need the work/money and the job is
pretty easy) or physically challenged folks. Wal-Mart has a lot going
wrong in it but they do right, by me, in terms of their greeters.
I don't know about your area, but just about every movie chain in our
neck of the woods here in the DC area now employs a physically
challenged person either as a greeter or ticket taker. Again, props.

Oh, I love the greeters. I have a big soft spot for the elderly -
trust me on that one, Bob. But the funny thing is - in the Walmart I
go to *I* am usually the one who greets *them*. They must see so many
people entering and exiting the store that a lot of them will sit
quietly with that glazed look on their faces so I usually will say to
them, "Hi, how are you?" and it's only *then* that I get, "Hi, welcome
to Walmart!"
